New ExtremeDD Firmware for PTT

Dear Customer,

We are pleased to announce that a new firmware version 1.5.8061 for the Extreme DriveDock has been released.

The new firmware allows the use of the Beam wireless and corded PTT handset while the Extreme DriveDock and Iridium 9575P is on Phone mode.

For existing Extreme Drive Dock PTT users, it is recommended to check the docking station firmware by downloading the Eagle Software Management tool here.

 

The new firmware is saved in the same folder as the Eagle Software installer.  Follow instructions below:

• Extract the files into the PC.
• Install the Eagle Software Management tool.
• Upgrade the firmware if needed by going to Advanced Options> Firmware Upgrade > Choose "Custom Firmware" from the drop down selection.
• Verify firmware update once completed, make sure Eagle shows firmware as 1.5.8061

 

If you have an existing installation of the Eagle Software Management tool, follow the steps below:

• Download the new firmware here and extract the hex file into a local folder.
• Open Eagle and click Connect.
• Choose Advanced Options> Firmware Upgrade, then select "Custom Firmware" and point to the new firmware version in your drive.
• Verify firmware update once completed, make sure Eagle shows firmware as 1.5.8061
